Lay to bet Arbitrage [Drifter]

arbitrage Lay

This sports arbitrage example explains how to make risk free profits by virtue that a horse's odds will drift. This is achieved by laying the horse to lose then betting the same horse to win at higher sports betting odds.

The race result is irrelevant, the Arbister wins no matter if the horse wins or loses.
e.g. Sports betting exchange market for the 2.40 Lingfield on 20/11/04. Sendintank is the 7/4 paper favorite. The knowledge predicts that these betting odds represent poor value. The most likely outcome, in this case, is that the SP will end up higher. In actual fact the horse drifts on the betting exchanges from around 2/1 to 4/1.

An Arbitrage is achieved by trading the two odds [see Table].
