Electronic race cards

The Odds-On horse racing software compiles betting odds in the form of an electronic race card that can be viewed for free, over the internet to your desktop, see below.

These race cards have been tested successfully on a number of browsers, such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla - Firefox and Opera.

The electronic racecard shows the calculated betting odds for each horse in the race. The horses are ordered depending on the size of the odds and therefore the probability of winning the race.

Derivation of compiled betting odds

These odds are calculated from a number of racing inputs, such as :-.

race form - overall and recent

horse racing handicap rating

trainer's recent form

horse improvement potential

past performances over the current distance, going and racecourse.

race fitness

win consistency

The race odds are then normalized to give an over-round typical for the number of horses in the race.

Value odds

Each of the horses odds are then compared against the advertised bookmaker odds. A quality check is performed on horses that have odds that are either higher or lower than the tissue odds.

the bet horses

Horses that have calculated odds lower than the tissue odds and have an acceptable quality check are marked as (+) good value.

the lay horses

Horses that have calculated odds higher than the tissue odds and have an unacceptable quality check are marked (-) poor value.
